"Safe and Sober" April Events

Ouray Fire Department vs. Ridgway Fire Department Basketball Game Fundraiser

Come an watch the two fire departments compete for their honor on April 8 at 7pm in the gym at the Ouray School!

We raised over $500 for our After Prom Party at this event with over 130 people attending. A big thanks go to the Fire Departments for volunteering their time to help use raise money to give youth in our county a safe place to go after prom.

Youth Prevention Discussion

What motivates youth drinking? Do youth in Ouray Country drink more or less than average? What are High Risk situations and feelings? All high school youth will be given the opportunity to think about these questions during our "Youth Prevention Discussion" on April 23rd. Parent Information Night

Underage alcohol use is more likely to kill young people than all other illegal drugs combined. In Ouray County, more than 50% of youth binge drink. Come learn how to talk to your kids about drug and alcohol use at our Parent Night on April 23rd at 6:30pm at the Ouray Community Center. Parent Night Poster

After Prom Party "Casino Night"

Where are you going after Prom? Come to the Western for Card Games, 15 Minute Raffles with Grand Prize Drawing at 2:00am, Food, and Fun.

  • How much: ALL events, food, and activities are FREE!

Our Casino Night was a HUGE success with 120 youth attending. They enjoyed playing cards, eating pizza, and winning raffle items such as a Wii, an iPod Touch, and a Dell laptop computer. Thanks to all who helped!

Cabin Fever - February 14

Voyager's Cabin Fever even at Top of the Pines was a success! About 50 people came for skiing, a scavenger hunt, Orienteering, live music, and hot cocoa.
