Voyager Youth Program, a non-profit
501(c)3 organization, began in 1997 when a group of concerned local mothers
recognized a need for organized activities to keep our youth safe and occupied
during the hours school was not in session.
Working in collaboration with Ouray County schools, community
leaders and parents, Voyager Youth Program provides the only after-school
and holiday enrichment program, as well as a full time youth recreational
program during the summer months.
In addition, Voyager Youth Program seeks to educate and
promote substance abuse prevention for the youth and families of our community
through sponsoring various activities including:
ASSETS, a youth designed, youth led annual conference
for high school youth
NATURAL HIGH, an event featuring celebrities from
the fields of sports and entertainment sharing their message that you
cannot achieve if you use drugs and alcohol.
OURAY COUNTY COMPETITIVE INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING TEAM,
comprised of students from Ouray County Schools who compete regionally
in this popular sport.
Middle and High School programs designed to educate
and inspire youth.
